The Quinta do Côa estate is one of the properties of the Roboredo Madeira family, located in the Douro Superior, between the village of Almendra and the right bank of the river Côa.
The estate’s area is around 80 ha, mainly of schist origin, faced to East / South, with an altitude between 130 m and 300 m, grown in organic production mode, strictly from native varieties of the region, from vineyard, olive grove and almond trees.
A micro-climate that combines high temperatures and low rainfall, together with schist soils very poor in nutrients makes the Quinta do Côa wines stand out for their aromatic purity only possible in the Douro Superior.
All the area of the estate is inside the world’s ex-libris Palaeolithic Rock-art site of the Côa Valley – affluent of the Douro, and in the Douro International Natural Park.
